Low GI Rice with Cumin and Tumeric

Cumin and turmeric one pot rice and lentil is a delicious and nutritious dish that is perfect for lunch and dinner. The combination of aromatic cumin and turmeric creates a warm and comforting flavour, while the lentils add a hearty texture and a dose of plant-based protein

Cooking instructions

Tip:  Use a large cooking pot with wider base giving rice maximum space to expand. Do not prepare large quantity of rice in small pot.

Boil on Stove Top


  1. Cut packet of rice open and tip it into pot
  2. Add 500mL water, Cover pot
  3. Let simmer on medium heat for 20 minutes
  4. Add salt to taste and garnish of your choice
